Senior ministry
The Senior Ministry Team, composed of volunteer seniors from the congregation plan activities and programming that fall under the organizing theme of Health, Wellness and Spirituality that are generally available from other sources. The Team utilizes presenters from within the congregation which encourages the Senior population at St. Francis to become acquainted with the many talented people in the Community.
Goals of the team
1.
Increased collaboration with other ministries at St. Francis, especially Parish Nursing, which could have impact on Senior lives
2.
Encouragement for more participation by Seniors
3.
Development of more intergenerational programs
4.
Extension of invitation to Seniors in other congregations in Holden
5.
Continued consult with Seniors to result in programs perceived to have value
6.
Ongoing involvement of members of congregation in programming which utilizes the many talents of this group.
