DCF Wonderfund Gift Drive

This year's participation in the DCF Wonderfund gift drive for local foster children was once again a resounding success.  Through the Wonderfund, social workers at the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families compile lists of gift suggestions for about 35,000 children statewide, including about 1,000 children through the Worcester office.  We sponsored 30 children again this year whose wish lists included toys, clothing, and gift cards. 

Mission Ministries members Alison Milan and Julie Russell loaded the first of three carloads of gifts bound for the Worcester DCF office.  There is even a sled buried in there somewhere!  Between individual contributions and Mission Ministries, St. Francis also donated more than $600 in gift cards for children and teens who entered DCF care after the November 18th cut-off for the social workers’ gift lists.  Thank you all for your overwhelming generosity!
