All glory, laud, and honor, to thee, Redeemer King!
What a beautiful day we had for Palm Saturday this year! Approximately 20 children were in attendance along with our beloved friend, Allie the donkey. This year our focus verse was, “Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit" (John 12:24). We used puppets to help us tell the story of Holy Week. We also read “The Tale of Three Trees”, did a seed craft, colored eggs, frosted cookies, and made “s

Shrove Tuesday '26
On February 22, members of our community came together to enjoy a dinner of pancakes and jambalaya in observance of Shrove Tuesday. We enjoyed a festively decorated Fellowship Hall and a delicious dinner prepared by the Shrove Tuesday Dinner Crew who have been offering up this act of hospitality on the eve of Lent, for many years. If you weren't able to make it this year, we'll see you next Shrove Tuesday, February 9, 2027!

DCF Wonderfund Gift Drive
This year's participation in the DCF Wonderfund gift drive for local foster children was once again a resounding success. Through the Wonderfund, social workers at the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families compile lists of gift suggestions for about 35,000 children statewide, including about 1,000 children through the Worcester office. We sponsored 30 children again this year whose wish lists included toys, clothing, and gift cards. Mission Ministries members A

Oktoberfest '25
The fifth annual St. Francis Oktoberfest, held on Saturday, October 18, was a lively and joy-filled celebration with a wonderful turnout from our parish community. Guests enjoyed delicious German food, locally brewed beer, and the chance to come together in fellowship to mark the harvest season. The children had a great time decorating pumpkins (generously donated by Mesa Farm!) Oktoberfest has become a beloved fall tradition at St. Francis, thanks to the many volunteers who

Fellowship Hall Renovation
The east wall of our fellowship hall has been leaking during rainy times for years. It was determined that the leaks were caused by improper flashing under the windows. This summer, Dave Currie secured new windows for the wall, and with the vestry’s blessing, we purchased them. By the time you’re reading this, all of the water damage will have been removed, as well as new framing and windows installed. While the new window configuration is a little different than the old on

Rectory Work Day
At St. Francis, we want to provide safe, comfortable housing for our rector and the rector’s family, which requires ongoing work. On August 9, several parishioners gathered to do some updates and repairs on the church rectory. This round of work included replacing the guard rails on the back deck to make the deck compliant with building codes, as well as increase the look and comfort of the deck. Structural damage on the front wall was repaired. Knob and tube wiring was remov
