Children's Holy Week Program

April 12th:  Our 10 AM “Palm Saturday” program had to be postponed until 1 PM to allow time for snow removal!  We certainly didn’t see THAT coming!  Unfortunately, because of the time change, a few friends were not able to join us.  But approximately 15 were able to attend and we had a wonderful time!   

After learning about palms and the events of Holy Week, we joined Allie the donkey in a Triumphal Walk around the parking lot.  Special thanks to Dale Perkins for bringing her from Mesa farm!  The children gathered in small groups for a Tenebrae service that included a discussion in the empty “tomb,” and ended with an egg hunt.

The children also painted eggs, decorated cookies, and made butterflies that brightened our front walk on Easter morning.  We all had a wonderful Palm Saturday together!
