Mission Ministries will sponsor the Heifer Living Gift Market after services on the weekend of Palm Sunday, March 24th. The main event will be on Sunday after the 10 AM service with a live animal and coffee hour. Donations can be made after the 8AM service as well.
Heifer International is a non-profit corporation founded in 1944 with a mission to end hunger and poverty while caring for the earth. For more than 75 years they have provided livestock and sustainable agricultural training to struggling communities around the world. They work in 19 countries, including the US, helping local food producers to expand their businesses and earn a living income.
At the gift market you will be shown a catalogue of animals and items. You can purchase the item, a share or shares of that item or simply make a donation. For instance, a sheep costs $200 with a share costing $10. Checks should be made payable to St. Francis with Heifer in the memo line. You can also donate online by going to https://fundraise.heifer.org/stfrancis This year through June, all donations will be matched by Heifer International community donors, doubling the blessing for families in need.
