Isaiah 2:1-5 Sunday Scripture Reflection

November 27, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. - Please join us for our upcoming Scripture Reflection gathering, which will be held this coming Sunday, at 9:00 a.m., in the church library.

On this First Sunday of Advent, we will hear the words of the prophet Isaiah as he spoke to the worried and wearied Jewish people. The context of Isaiah's words was a world filled with uncertainty and change...and it seemed most of the possibilities for change were ones that provided much anxiety. The prophet's word from God are words that reminds God's children that God is faithful and that we should be filled with hope, for God's peace and love will ultimately prevail. We will explore the idea of hearing words of hope and being people confident in the promises of God, yet also being people trying to make sense of the brokenness and sorrow that often surrounds us.

Our Scripture passage is found in the Book of the Prophet Isaiah. You may find the Scripture lesson by selecting the following link: (Isaiah 2:1-5).
