The St. Clare Quilters, from beginners to far more experienced quilters, meet monthly to design and make small quilts for donation to Abby’s House, for the women who live there and for their children. The quilt designs are simple, cotton and flannel, intended for and warmth and comfort. In May of 2019 a first donation of 12 quilts was blessed and delivered to Abby’s House; made for the most part with fabric provided by the quilters. In recent months very generous donations of fabric have been received. At the request of Abby’s House personnel, the group has also begun to design and make a memory quilt which will hang at Abby’s House to record the names of residents, staff and others important to their efforts.
