Matthew 21:1-11; 26:14-15 - Sunday Scripture Reflection

Updated: Apr 14, 2023

On this Sixth Sunday in Lent we follow Jesus as he enters the holy city of Jerusalem. Although the Sixth Sunday in Lent is known as Palm Sunday and is the time we read the entire Passion story of Christ, our reading will be focused on Jesus' triumphal entry into the holy city and we will be reflecting on the dynamics of power in the world, both divine and human. These powers often are opposed to each other but we will reflect on how the Good News of the Gospel calls us to follow Christ the King, and what this means for our lives.

Our Scripture passage is found in the Gospel according to Matthew. You may find the Scripture lesson by selecting the following link: (Matthew 21:1-11 and Matthew 26:14-15).
