As we gather on this Sixth Sunday of Easter, we reflect on the story of the growing mission of the Good News of Jesus Christ, as the word spreads to new people and new places. In this story, we encounter Lydia, a leader of her community in both her business and her personal presence. The Apostle Paul is spreading the Good News and Lydia and her family accept the teachings of Christ, and offer hospitality to Paul and his fellow companions. We will reflect on the idea of hospitality in a world that often encourages us to simply "keep moving" with our heads down and our purpose driven lives moving forward. How can we slow down to notice God in our lives, especially when that presence is manifest in others.
