As we gather for the Second Sunday in Lent, we hear Jesus' lament of how his ministry has been received by the people of Jerusalem and the area. Rejected for his mission of proclaiming God's unconditional love and mercy, Jesus reflects on how the outcome has repeated itself throughout the human history. We will reflect on the challenges of our times and consider what might be some of the intrinsic characteristics of humanity that brings us into conflicts and anxieties so often. Jesus is, for us, the saving presence of God's grace in the midst of these challenges.
