As we gather for the Feast of Palm Sunday, we hear the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and the Passion Gospel of Jesus Christ. Palm Sunday can be a curious day for those prayerfully reflecting on the story of Jesus: in a very short span of time, the story tells of praise and cheers for Jesus, and rapidly seems to change to shouts and jeers for the end of Jesus' life. We are left with the empty feeling of despair as we seem to have all hope dashed by the hard wood of the cross. We will reflect on the Passion Gospel and discuss the Gospel message of Christ in our world, then and now.
